GolfMaster! 1.1.2 This is a Sports Game Mactivity's CD-ROM nr 10 advice: This application did run on a b/w 68030 processor under System 7.1. It was also tested on a big ColorScreen of a PowerMacintosh running System 7.1.2. The game was also tested on a Quadra with 68040 processor and a 13 inch Color Screen and System 7.1 by Mactivity. GolfMaster! is divided up into 5 different modules, COURSE, SCORE, TOURNAMENT, LEAGUE, and GOLFER. The TOURNAMENT & LEAGUE modules have been removed from this limited version. By sending in the $20 registration fee, will recieve the full, complete version of GolfMaster!. After starting up GolfMaster!, you must select "Prefs" from the Apple Menu. You must set you preferences here for your Default Course, Default Handi-Cap Calculation, and Default number of HOLES played. After that you must set up the courses you will be playing on, so your scores, etc will be accurate. Double-click on the GolfMaster! icon to launch it. The either select COURSES from the GOLFMASTER! menu bar or from the main menu card. Click on the top name line and enter in all the neccasary information, using the TAB key to move forward between fields and the SHIFT-TAB key combo to move backwards between fields If you need to create a new record for a new course, press COMMAND-N key combo or choose NEW RECORD from the EDIT menu. To sort the courses alphabeticaly, use the COMMAND+H key combo. To go to a specific course, use COMMAND+G and then choose the course you want from the diaolog box. To delete a course, use the DELETE or DELETE ALL command found under COURSE menu. Next you must enter in golfer names and you do this thru the GOLFER module. Select GOLFER from either the main menu card or the GOLFMASTER! menu. Now fill in the blanks. In the future, after some scores have been entered, those scores will appear in the large field below the golfer info. To go to a particular score, just double-click on that score and you will go to that score in the score module. If you need to create a new record for a new golfer, press COMMAND-N key combo or choose NEW RECORD from the EDIT menu. To sort the golfers, use the COMMAND+H key combo and pick from the dialog box. To go to a specific golfer, use COMMAND+G and then choose the golfer you want from the diaolog box. To delete a golfer, use the DELETE or DELETE ALL command found under COURSE menu Now for the final part. Enter those scores in! Select SCORE from either the GOLFMASTER! menu or the main menu card. Then click on the SELECT GOLFER button to select a golfer from the list you have entered in. Next, select the tee you played from and then click on the SELECT COURSE button tho select the course played. After that, click on the first field and enter your score in usong the TAB key to move forward and the SHIFT-TAB key combo to move backward. Make sure the DATE field is filled in and in the proper format "XX/XX/XX". Choosing ANALYZE from the SCORE menu will analyze that current score. Make SURE that the default holes in the PREFS window, is equal to the number of holes entered, otherwise GM! might hang when analyzing. If you need to create a new record for a new score, press COMMAND-N key combo or choose NEW RECORD from the EDIT menu. To sort the scores, use the COMMAND+H key combo and pick from the dialog box.To delete a golfer, use the DELETE or DELETE ALL command found under COURSE menu. GolfMaster! 1.1.2p fixes a problem with the analyzer that caused GM! 1.1.1p to freeze up if less than 18 holes were entered in the SCORE card being analyzed. Added are 2 new features, the first being the ablilty to turn the startup sound ON/OFF via a check box in the PREFS window. The second is the addition of a REPAIR option in the APPLE menu. If you find a bug that can be duplicated, PLEASE contact me ASAP with all the information. Then, after I've whipped up a fix, I'll send or post a REPAIR CODE to activate the REPAIR MODE.
